Mentoring for Early Career Speech Pathologists

Leanne is an experienced speech pathologist with 30 years of practice in various settings, but predominantly in the paediatric field. She has a passion for helping new graduates and early career speech pathologists to grow and thrive in their chosen field.

The mentoring program consists of 12 session modules, each focusing on a specific topic
that is relevant and useful for your practice.

Some of the topics include:

Helping Families Thrive: How to encourage your clients / guardians to really partner with you in the therapy process.
Working with Diversity: How to respect and respond to the cultural and linguistic needs of your clients and families.
And more!

These sessions have a broad framework but are tailored to your individual needs.
If you mentor with Leanne and become a foundational member you will continue to
receive updated tips and information on a six-monthly basis.
Alternatively, sessions can be more general and cover topics of your choice.

Each session will include:

A pre-session questionnaire to assess your needs and goals.

• A one-hour online meeting with Leanne, where you will discuss the topic, share experiences, and explore strategies and resources.

• A post-session summary and action plan, where you will reflect on your learning and identify what you will do differently or better in your practice.
Leanne has numerous resources to share and hands-on practical tips and ideas

By the end of the program, you will have gained:

• A deeper understanding of yourself as a speech pathologist and your role in supporting your clients and families.
• A broader knowledge of the current evidence and best practices in speech pathology.
• A stronger network of peers and mentors who can support you in your ongoing professional development.

• $150.00 per session
