Funding for Supports
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is now a federal initiative providing services for people with long term disability. Visit www.ndis.gov.au to find out more about whether you would be eligible and how to apply. Carers Queensland – carersqld.com.au will provide support for children with lifelong disabilities over 7 years.
NDIS for children under 6 – this part is called the Early Childhood Early Intervention component and is managed by the Benevolent Society www.benevolent.org.au.
